ProtoZone 2026 is now open
ProtoZone returns for its 11th edition with the same mission: showcasing new game prototypes, fostering meaningful connections, and bringing fresh ideas to life.
12 creators will be selected to present their prototype to the public throughout the weekend.
It’s a great opportunity to share your world, test your game, gather feedback… and maybe even win a prize.
How does it work?
To take part, you must submit your application between April 1 and May 31, 2026 at 23:59 via an online form.
A preselection committee, made up of people from the gaming world (designers, industry professionals, association members, etc.), will meet to select the 12 prototypes that will take part in ProtoZone 2026.
The results of the preselection will be announced around July 1, allowing the committee enough time to carefully review all applications.
Two prizes to be won!
The Public Golden Meeple’Pis

Awarded by the BGF audience, it recognises the most appreciated prototype during the weekend.
The Jury Golden Meeple’Pis

Awarded by a jury composed of professionals from the gaming industry, it highlights a prototype for the quality of its game design and overall experience.
Additional awards may also be granted. These distinctions remain at the discretion of the jury.
